VetsEZ is seeking a Scrum Master to join a 100% remote team to support a large federal government project. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to lead Agile practices for multiple teams, assist with managing and prioritizing work through the backlog, track team output and achievement, and identify continuous process improvement opportunities.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate scrum meetings and eliminate blockers, including PI Planning, retrospectives, daily stand-ups, demos, and related team ceremonies.
  • Build relationships that encourage collaboration, transparency, and innovation across a highly cross-functional Agile software development team.
  • Promote Agile quality practices, coordinate across organizations, and serve as a resource to answer questions.
  • Advise government personnel on opportunities to improve process standardization and delivery execution.
  • Support backlog flow, work visibility, and follow-through on team commitments and action items.
  • Track team progress, risks, impediments, and dependencies and escalate where appropriate.
  • Partner with Product Owners, engineers, and stakeholders to maintain alignment and delivery focus.
  • Facilitate effective communication across teams, leaders, and partner organizations.
  • Use metrics and team insights to encourage continuous improvement and delivery predictability.
  • Support documentation, meeting outputs, and readiness activities for program events and reviews.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience is required.
  • Experience leading an Agile development team with automated application deployments, scaling, and management.
  • Proven experience with large-scale software development, data management, and software integration projects.
  • Expertise in the SAFe framework is required.
  • Experience facilitating briefings to senior leadership and capturing actions resulting from meetings and requests.
  • Highly detail oriented with strong technical documentation skills.
  • SAFe Certified Scrum Master or comparable certification is preferred.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with technical delivery teams in complex environments.
  • Ability to obtain a Government clearance.

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs, tools, processes, and frameworks is a plus.
  • Experience with project and configuration management tools such as Jira and GitHub is desirable.
  • Technical background or experience supporting engineering-led teams is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or a related discipline is a plus.
  • Healthcare-related experience is a plus.
