We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer who takes ownership of complex problems and delivers reliable solutions at scale. You communicate technical concepts clearly across teams and time zones, mentor others generously, and make pragmatic decisions that balance speed with quality. You thrive in our global, async-first environment where autonomy and accountability go hand-in-hand. You will be part of our growing data org and work closely with our data analytics, engineering, and product teams to evolve our data platform and engineering practices.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead data architecture discussions and design scalable, reliable data systems that support our growing business needs
  • Build and maintain production-grade data pipelines using modern data stack tools and methodologies
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions that drive business value
  • Mentor team members and contribute to our culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing
  • Ensure data quality, privacy, and governance standards across all data initiatives

Must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or Software Engineer in data-rich organizations
  • 3+ years specifically in data engineering, with experience leading data architecture discussions and technical decision-making
  • Experience with a major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP), ideally with some exposure to Infrastructure as Code or remote configuration tools.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift), transformation tools like dbt, and distributed data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Apache Flink.
  • Strong coding experience in Python/Scala and advanced SQL knowledge across relational and non-relational databases
  • Maintain and optimize high-performance data pipelines with comprehensive CI/CD automation, implementing observability frameworks (metrics, logging, distributed tracing) and data quality gates to ensure pipeline freshness, accuracy, and completeness
  • Experience leading technical architecture discussions and making strategic technology decisions
  • Strong communication skills to effectively partner with stakeholders across the organization
  • Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in team environments

  • Experience working with Internet and technology companies
  • Experience working with Telco, MNOs & MNVOs
