About the founder
Amardeep Singh is an IIT Bombay alumnus & an aerospace engineer by education. He was a founding member of ideaForge - currently India's biggest drone company & the first drone company to get listed on the Indian stock exchange.
His 16-year entrepreneurial journey is marked by a series of ambitious ventures spanning across diverse tech domains like Drones, Consumer Hardware, B2B SaaS & AI.

Requirements
About This Role
As Armory scales, we need a Financial Controller who can own the numbers, systems, and financial strategy with precision and judgement. This is not bookkeeping; this is building the financial backbone of a high-growth defence-tech startup.
You will work directly with founders and the leadership team, ensuring that every rupee is tracked, every risk assessed, and every financial decision aligns with business priorities.
This role is strategic, hands-on, and requires someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and elevates the finance function beyond compliance.
Must Have
- 6-12 years of progressive finance experience, ideally with 3–5 years in startups or high-growth companies
- Strong expertise in accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Hands-on experience with statutory compliance, GST, TDS, PF/ESI, and other regulatory requirements
- Experience with financial systems, Zoho Books, and audit processes
- Demonstrated ability to structure finance functions from scratch or scale them significantly
- Excellent judgement and ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- High ownership mindset; you identify issues and drive solutions proactively
Bonus Points For
- Experience in defence, aerospace, or deep-tech sectors
- Exposure to fund management, investor reporting, and management, or capital raising
- Experience implementing ERP or financial automation systems
- Prior experience with audit coordination, risk management, and internal controls

Work Location:
Armory highly values having employees working in-office. We are establishing a collaborative work environment and company culture and that simply does not happen from home. We are based out of Gurgaon and require employees to be in office.
