About this role
You will be responsible for driving defence-focused business development for Armory. From engaging frontline units to navigating procurement channels, you will translate operational needs into concrete opportunities. You will lead outreach, trials, and account growth for our counter-drone systems.
- Drive business development for Armory’s defence hardware systems across defence, homeland security, and strategic private-sector clients.
- Build relationships with MoD, Army, Navy, Air Force, CAPFs, and key procurement stakeholders.
- Lead the full BD cycle: prospecting, demos, trials, negotiations, and contract closures.
- Represent Armory during field trials, demos, and technical evaluations.
- Translate operational needs from forces into actionable insights for internal teams.
- Navigate defence procurement pathways, tenders, documentation, and compliance.
- Maintain long-term account relationships and oversee post-deployment continuity.
- Track market trends, competitors, and procurement demand signals.
- Veteran (ex-Defence) with a deep understanding of operational and procurement ecosystems.
- Experience in the private defence sector, preferably in BD, sales, or program roles.
- Strong understanding of defence procurement cycles, trials, and vendor onboarding.
- Preferably, experience with C-UAS, surveillance, or mission-critical defence hardware.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate in high-pressure, high-ambiguity environments.
- Prior experience selling or deploying anti-drone / counter-UAS systems.
- Existing network across MoD, CAPFs, state police, or defence procurement bodies.
- Experience with GEM, MoD tenders, or government procurement workflows.
- Hands-on exposure to demos, PoCs, field evaluations, or deployment support.
- Building structured processes out of ambiguity.
- Turning conversations into concrete opportunities with discipline and follow-through.

- Complete onboarding and build a strong understanding of Armory’s mission, products, and user ecosystem.
- Deep-dive into India’s defence procurement landscape across Indian Defence Services, CAPFs, and allied agencies.
- Map all ongoing leads, past trials, and existing stakeholder relationships.
- Understand SURGE’s capabilities end-to-end to confidently represent it in discussions and demos.
- Begin structured outreach to key stakeholders and align trial or demo opportunities.
- Build a clear opportunity pipeline with projected timelines, dependencies, and decision paths.
- Work closely with engineering and product teams to refine messaging, demo scripts, and user briefs.
- Support field demonstrations, ensuring user expectations, questions, and constraints are documented.
- Establish a communication rhythm with leadership on progress, blockers, and competitive insights.
- Lead at least one major trial or capability demonstration with end-to-end ownership.
- Drive active opportunities toward closure by navigating procurement, compliance, and technical alignment.
- Build a repeatable BD playbook—stakeholder mapping, demo planning, documentation, and follow-ups.
- Present a structured growth roadmap for the next two quarters, highlighting target segments and strategies.
- Align with leadership on long-term objectives, partnerships, and expansion across defence and international markets.
