Carbonaught is a climate-smart agriculture company that converts degraded agricultural land to fertile, carbon-rich soil, addressing the major causes of degradation, including nutrient imbalances, acidity, and total carbon. Utilizing a negative emission technology, the company first removes CO2 and then permanently locks it up at a ratio of 9:1 while upgrading the global food system. In 2022, they placed 24th globally (out of 1,100 companies) in the XPRIZE Carbon Removal Challenge.
