Job Title: Management Accountant Team Lead
Job-Type: Full time
Reports To: Head of Accounting & Finance Operations
Location: Jakarta
What you’ll be doing:
- Preparation & review of monthly property report, ensuring its accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with other business functions to handle Landlord query regarding the monthly report.
- Preparation of monthly assigned journal postings and general ledger account reconciliations across all Indonesia legal entities.
- Manage revenue recognition and the correct accounting treatment of revenue generated from lease, management and franchise contracts.
- Assist in all compliance/tax reviews and reporting internally and externally.
- Provide support and guidance to the team members on a daily basis
- Ensure the team has clearly defined documented OKRs which are regularly reviewed and discussed
- Process monthly recharges to intercompany entities.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations for monthly review, enter debtors’ balances, balance sheet and ensure appropriate accruals and prepayments are made.
- Support the Indonesia finance operations team with reconciliation of Aspire payments and Xendit & Peakflo collections.
- Assist with the preparation of audit files and assistance during the year-end audit.
- Recognize continuous improvement opportunities and tackle them proactively. This would typically include process improvements, cost saving initiatives and automation.
- Liaise with Insurance Agents on company insurance matters.
- Oversee preparation of VAT and other statutory returns.
What makes you a great fit:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 4 - 5 years of work experience as a Management Accountant or as an accounting specialist in a small to medium sized accounting practice.
- Having experience working at Accounting Firm
- Have good knowledge and experience in tax handling (preferably property related)
- Advanced in using Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge and experience with IFRS/PSAK would be an advantage.
- Good working knowledge of accounting systems (cloud based).
- Able to manage and prioritise time and be committed to meet deadlines for assigned tasks and deliverables.
- Meticulous with an eye for detail and have strong analytical capabilities;
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Displays initiative and a positive attitude that would contribute to a harmonious team working environment.
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) will be an advantage.
