Position Summary:
Doowii is seeking a seasoned Senior Business Development Representative to drive top-of-funnel lead generation, engage prospective clients and partners, and manage the sales cycle through to close.
This role is designed for a business development professional who combines business development expertise with strong technical knowledge of SaaS and analytics platforms, along with a deep understanding of EdTech procurement patterns in the education sector. You’ll be instrumental in expanding Doowii’s reach across the education sector, focusing on lead generation, sales and partnerships, conference strategy, social engagement, and content strategies to build connections and generate leads. In this role, your primary focus will be on driving sales to K-12 and higher education institutions, while also identifying and supporting partnership opportunities with EdTech companies to expand Doowii’s market reach.
Your ability to effectively and confidently demonstrate our platform’s technical capabilities will be key in positioning Doowii as a valuable partner for educational institutions and EdTech companies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Top-of-Funnel Lead Generation
- Identify, research, and engage prospective clients through targeted outreach, social channels, and event networking.
- Represent Doowii at conferences, trade shows, and industry events, building meaningful connections to expand brand presence.
- Develop and implement content-driven lead generation strategies, including social media and partnership-based campaigns.
- Marketing
- Use conferences as a platform to generate leads, establish Doowii’s thought leadership in education and analytics, and cement a presence with educators and partners.
- Create and distribute high-impact content, including blog posts, social media updates, and thought leadership pieces, to drive engagement and awareness.
- Partner with Doowii executives to manage external communications, including press releases and media outreach.
- Support the design and execution of targeted ad campaigns to drive lead generation and brand awareness, and manage budgets and ROI targets.
- Track & improve organic traffic and search rankings.
- Sales Engagement & Product Knowledge
- Conduct product demos and presentations, addressing client needs and positioning Doowii’s platform as a critical solution for a data-driven education culture, saving time and improving results.
- Maintain a technical understanding of Doowii’s conversational analytics capabilities and platform to answer product questions and build credibility with prospects.
- Pipeline Management & Deal Closing
- Manage the sales pipeline from initial lead generation through deal negotiation and closing, working closely with the CX team for smooth post-sale transitions.
- Document all interactions and progress within the CRM to ensure accurate reporting and effective pipeline forecasting.
- Market & Competitive Analysis
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and target market dynamics to effectively communicate Doowii’s unique value.
- Provide feedback on customer needs and preferences to internal teams, informing product development.
- Performance Reporting & Metrics
- Track and report on key performance indicators, including leads generated, conversion rates, and revenue impact.
- Use data insights to refine strategies, improve conversion rates, and increase Doowii’s market penetration.
- 3-5 years of experience in business development, or similar role.
- Proven experience managing the full sales cycle from lead generation through to deal close, working closely with internal teams and executive leadership to drive operational efficiency.
- Technical proficiency in presenting SaaS products and an understanding of analytics or EdTech platforms.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across social, digital, and in-person channels.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to operate autonomously.
- 3-5 years of experience in business development in SaaS or EdTech growth.
- Experience representing a company at industry conferences and events.
- Demonstrated success using social and content strategies for lead generation.
- Base salary and a new-hire equity grant vesting over 4 years with a 1-year cliff.
- Base Salary: $90k-$120k
- Equity: 0.01% - 0.10%
