Role Overview: Dune Security is seeking our first full-time Business Development Representative (BDR) to help establish and grow our outbound sales motion. Reporting directly to the Head of Growth, you will generate pipeline, connect with security leaders, and drive engagement for both sales and community initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership, test new approaches, and directly shape how we scale our go-to-market efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Generate outbound pipeline through email, LinkedIn, and phone outreach to target prospects.
  2. Drive event engagement by sending invitations, supporting attendance, and conducting follow-ups.
  3. Convert inbound leads into booked meetings and qualified opportunities.
  4. Partner with the Head of Growth to progress new opportunities from initial contact to discovery.
  5. Prospect and invite members to join our Security Leaders Council (community initiative).
  6. Leverage sales technology tools daily, including Salesflow, Vieu, Apollo, and Salesforce.
  7. Stay current on emerging business development strategies and technologies to improve performance.

Qualifications:

Required

  • 1–2 years of relevant business development or sales experience (internships included).
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging technical security leaders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to track, assess, and refine engagement strategies.
  • Comfort working autonomously and proactively as the first full-time BDR.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with sales tools such as Salesflow, Apollo, and Salesforce.
  • Experience in cybersecurity, SaaS, or B2B enterprise technology.
  • Prior involvement in community or council-building initiatives.
