About FERO

We're FERO, a fast-growing SaaS startup fixing broken checkouts for eCommerce brands. We're looking for a sharp, organized Finance Operations Associate to join us at the ground level and help build our finance function from scratch.

About the position

As our first-ever internal finance hire, you'll be hands-on in shaping how FERO keeps its books. We already work with external accountants in the Netherlands, UK, and US. What's missing is someone in-house pulling everything together for them and for us.

You'll be reconciling accounts, chasing down invoices and organizing payments data across three jurisdictions. You'll work directly with our CEO and see exactly how a payments business runs behind the scenes.

You will focus on:

• Own day-to-day bookkeeping for our NL entity, with visibility into UK and US activity
• Gather, organize, and file invoices and source documents across all three jurisdictions
• Reconcile bank accounts, our payment processor, and merchant settlement accounts
• Package clean, complete data for our Dutch, UK, and US accountants — ahead of deadline, every time
• Pull together the payments data (interchange, scheme fees, FX, processing costs) that feeds our margin reporting
• Learn how finance really works inside a licensed payments business

We're looking for someone who has:

• Solid bookkeeping experience (AAT-level or equivalent) you don't need to be a qualified accountant
• Experience juggling data across multiple entities or currencies is a plus
• Meticulous attention to detail as you're the last check before anything reaches an accountant
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
• High motivation and a self-starter attitude 💪
• You're comfortable being the one who chases people for missing invoices (nicely, but persistently)
• You're based in Amsterdam
