About the role:

We're looking for a Technical Product Owner to drive the delivery of payment products end-to-end — from discovery and specification through launch and post-launch monitoring. You'll work at the intersection of engineering, payments partners, and merchants, owning the backlog for a technical team and making sure what we ship is measurable, reliable, and moves the needle.

This is a hands-on role. You'll be as comfortable writing acceptance criteria for a webhook flow as you are presenting KPI dashboards to stakeholders or digging into a payout reconciliation discrepancy.

What You´ll Do

  • Own the product backlog for a technical engineering team: write clear user stories, define acceptance criteria, prioritize ruthlessly, and keep the roadmap aligned with business goals
  • Run scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, refinement, reviews, retrospectives) and act as the day-to-day decision-maker for the team
  • Lead product launches across payments, checkout, and API-driven features — coordinating engineering, QA, partners, and go-to-market
  • Define, track, and report on product KPIs (conversion rates, authorization rates, error rates, adoption, latency) to monitor product health and inform prioritization
  • Build and maintain dashboards that give the team and leadership real-time visibility into product performance
  • Translate technical constraints and API documentation into product decisions; work directly with engineers on integration scoping and edge cases
  • Gather and synthesize feedback from merchants, support, and internal teams into actionable product improvements

What we are looking for:

  • 2–3 years of experience as a Product Owner, Technical PM, or similar role — or demonstrable experience launching products in payments, APIs, or eCommerce checkout
  • Solid understanding of the payments domain: PSPs, authorization/capture/settlement flows, webhooks, refunds, payouts, and reconciliation
  • Proven experience running scrum/agile processes for a technical engineering team
  • Strong analytical skills: comfortable defining KPIs, working with data.
  • Ability to read and write API documentation and discuss technical trade-offs credibly with engineers, you don't need to code, but you need to speak the language
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms (WooCommerce, Magento, Shopify) is a strong plus
  • Structured communicator who can turn ambiguous discussions into clear tickets, specs, and decisions
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment with shifting priorities and high ownership

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with payment orchestration or multi-PSP environments
  • Familiarity with Jira/Atlassian tooling and Slack-driven workflows
  • Prior exposure to merchant-facing or B2B SaaS products
