🎯 About the role

We’re looking for a Platform Engineer to join our Engineering team.

You’ll help build and scale the backend services and platform infrastructure that power FERO’s products. Working closely with the engineering team, you’ll develop reliable, scalable systems, build robust APIs, and contribute to the evolution of our platform.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, learning new technologies, and working in a fast-paced startup environment.

💥 What you’ll do

• Build and maintain backend services using Python or Java.
• Develop and maintain robust REST APIs.
• Design scalable and reliable backend systems.
• Collaborate with engineers across different teams to deliver platform improvements.
• Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
• Contribute to improving our engineering practices and tooling.
  

🧠 What you'll bring

• Professional experience with Python or Java.
• Experience with at least one backend framework (Django, FastAPI, or Spring Boot).
• Experience building and maintaining REST APIs.
• Experience designing scalable backend systems
• Strong backend engineering fundamentals.
• Ability to work collaboratively within an engineering team.
  

➕ Good to Have

• Experience with AWS.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with event streaming or message queues (Kafka is a plus).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools.
