👋 About FERO

We’re FERO, a cutting-edge startup revolutionizing the customer checkout and payment journey 🚀. Backed by top VCs, our mission is to create seamless, personalized online checkout experiences while helping merchants recover lost revenue 💰. As we scale, we’re looking for a proactive and detail-obsessed Technical Product Associate who will play a key role in connecting our product vision with day-to-day delivery.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in the middle of product, engineering, and process — someone who lives in Jira, understands how backend teams operate, and wants to grow into a full Product Manager or Technical Program Manager role.

🔧 About the Position

As our Technical Product Associate, you’ll support the Product Lead in ensuring smooth sprint execution, managing technical and product requirements, and keeping delivery on track. You’ll work directly with our engineering team, helping translate high-level ideas into actionable tasks — while managing scope, timelines, and technical alignment across the team.

If you’re a former developer or someone who has worked closely with technical teams and loves organization, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration, this could be your next big leap 🚀

✨ What you will do:
  • 📆 Run the Agile Rhythm: Support sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and delivery check-ins. Make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • 🎯 Write & Manage Requirements: Create and maintain clear Product Development Requirements (PDRs) with business and technical context.
  • 🧩 Maintain the Product Backlog: Prioritize tasks, refine tickets with the product and the engineering team, and keep the Jira board clean and up to date.
  • 🧠 Bridge Product & Engineering: Translate technical requirements into structured tickets, help clarify scope, and align on feasibility with devs.
  • 🐛 Own the QA & UAT process: Reproduce bugs, define and document test scenarios, coordinate with engineers during testing cycles, and ensure product quality before every release.
  • 🚦 Track Risk & Delivery: Monitor progress on feature releases, flag risks and dependencies early, and help unblock delivery.
🧠 We’re looking for someone who:
  • 🎓 Has 1–2 years experience in agile tech teams working on app development. Bonus points for experience in fintech, ecommerce or payments (PayOps)
  • 💻 Comes from a technical background (ex-developer is a big plus) and wants to transition into product.
  • 🌀 Knows how to work in Scrum and is confident navigating Agile workflows.
  • 🧾 Is proficient in Jira and Confluence, and comfortable managing backlogs and documentation.
  • ✍️ Is a strong writer and visual communicator – able to structure and articulate product requirements clearly.
  • 🤝 Has cross-functional experience — working with product, engineers, designers, and maybe even sales.
  • 🔍 Is hyper-organized and detail-oriented. You notice the gaps, close the loops, and keep things moving.
  • 🗣️ Speaks both English and Spanish fluently.
  • ⚡ Has a startup mindset — resourceful, adaptable, and not afraid to build processes from scratch.
🎁 What We Offer
  • 🏙️ A full-time hybrid role based in Madrid.
  • 💶 Competitive salary based on experience.
  • 🩻 Half sponsored Private Health Insurance
  • 🚀 A hands-on role at a fast-growing startup where your work has immediate impact.
  • 📈 Room for personal and professional growth 📈
  • 🧠 Collaborative, transparent team culture where experimentation is encouraged.
  • 💡 A front-row seat to shaping the future of E-commerce and checkout innovation.
