SENIOR FULL STACK DEVELOPER

GeneHub is a patient-controlled DataBank for rare diseases. It empowers patients by allowing them to store their clinico-genomic data and control who can access it. By providing better visibility and control over their data, GeneHub aims to accelerate pathways to personalised medicine for rare disease patients and reduce the economic burden on the healthcare system.

Collaborative analysis of patient data is enabled within secure data clean rooms, maintaining data encryption and anonymity through confidential computing. We're looking for a pragmatic developer to join our small, cross-functional team.

GeneHub is a venture-backed and government-funded HealthTech startup founded in late 2022. Funding has been secured to develop our technology, presenting a game-changing opportunity in healthcare.

OUR TECH STACK

You will be working with these tools and technologies.

• T3 stack (Typescript, Tailwind and TRPC) with NodeJS and Prisma
• MySQL and AWS S3 for persistent data storage
• AWS CDK to develop and deploy changes to our infrastructure hosted on AWS
• GitHub Actions for our CI/CD workflows

YOUR ROLE

As part of GeneHub, you will collaborate with our founders and Engineering Management to research, architect and develop new features for our applications.

We are constantly breaking new ground and experimenting with technologies to solve complex problems in the simplest possible way, taking an iterative approach. We would love to hear from you if you are passionate about problem-solving and challenging yourself.

YOU SHOULD APPLY IF (ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE)

• You are an allrounder with great front-end development skills along with a strong backend focus
• You write clean, performant and well-tested code.
• You have experience with the AWS platform and database management.
• You have experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Gitlab, CircleCI, etc).
• You are familiar with containerisation (Docker, EKS, ECS).
• Strong system design, database schema design, and data modelling knowledge.
• You are comfortable working with a small team that deals with complexity, unknowns, and ambiguity and enjoy problem-solving with a positive attitude and high attention to detail.
• You have experience working with third-party API integrations
• You care about user outcomes and make data-driven decisions
• You enjoy rapid prototyping and iterative development

DESIRABLE QUALITIES

• Experience working in Healthcare services
• DevOps expertise and familiarity with IAC
• Experience working with early-stage startups
• Certifications

THE INTERVIEW PROCESS HAS THREE STAGES

1. Screening call
2. Pair coding exercise and system design interview
3. Behavioural interview

We expect the process to take 1-2 weeks, and we'll do our best to work around your availability.

During the process, you will have the chance to speak with our founders and engineering team, but if you have any specific questions or want to discuss reasonable adjustments ahead of time, please feel free to include those in your application.

Location: London and Remote

Remuneration: Up to £75,000 (Depending on Experience)
