About Gleef

We’re the rebels of the translation world, on a mission to revolutionize how businesses connect with their global audiences. Think of us as matchmakers, pairing companies with the perfect words in every language.
We launched our first product—a lightning-fast A/B testing tool that’s already helping 20+ companies perfect their messaging! Now, we’re building on this vision and partnering with leading tech startups to create an even more ambitious product .

The Big Picture

Current localization software—tools used to manage and display translations on websites, web apps, or mobile apps—are largely outdated, with many still using 2005 technology to solve 2024 challenges. We're designing a completely new approach to website translation, addressing every issue that existing software currently overlooks, so you get:
A sleek UI that you’ll actually enjoy using ->
AI translations that sound genuinely human ->
Collaboration tools that make teamwork seamless, not a chore ->

Who are we?

Founded in March 2024 by Aude Flecchia (CEO), Antoine Borrelly (CPTO), and Jehan Oré (COO) and already backed by VCs who believe in our mission, we’re not just another startup. We're a rocket ship that just left the launchpad!
We’re a mighty team of 5 people (soon to include YOU ), up to 8, including freelancers. And you’ll work closely with the 3 founders.
Aude graduated from HEC Paris & Yale Business School, is an ex-Bain consultant in NYC , and the queen of fundraising and sales.
Antoine studied at ISEP and UC Berkeley before working at Lydia as a Product Manager. He masters Product as well as Engineering—double hat, double responsibilities.
Jehan is also an engineer, a graduate of Centrale Lyon & Imperial College Business School, a serial entrepreneur (2+ startups before founding Gleef), and he looks like Anthony Bourbon, but shhh, don’t tell him that.

About the job

As a Software Engineer, you’ll work alongside Antoine, our CTO, to develop and enhance our product.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Implementing new front-end features using the React.js framework
Improving the Gleef API built on AdonisJS
Integrating AI features into the product
Managing and monitoring our infrastructure (AWS, Supabase)
Maintaining internal tools (Metabase, n8n, etc.)
Don’t worry if you don’t know it all — that’s normal! We’re here to help you grow and succeed!

Job responsibilities

In addition to what’s described above, but should also include:
Take Ownership: Drive small projects from idea to implementation, even if they don’t scale initially.
Be Resourceful: Solve problems creatively with the tools at hand, and explore new ways to improve the product.
Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with other developers, designers and the rest of the team to bring fresh ideas to life.
Adapt and Learn Quickly: Embrace new challenges, learn fast, and adapt to the dynamic startup environment.
Contribute Beyond Code: Share your thoughts on product strategy, user experience, and growth opportunities.
Stay Curious: Experiment with new technologies and techniques to push boundaries and help shape the future of our product.

Job requirements

To thrive in our team and enjoy your work, you should ideally be:
Currently pursuing a degree in engineering or software development, ideally with some experience in development within a professional setting.
Skilled in interpersonal communication, with strong presentation, verbal, and written skills.
Proactive, with a passion for entrepreneurship.
Comfortable working in Linux environments and familiar with version control tools like Git.
Experienced with React and Node.js, either through a project or a previous role.
Familiar with basic database management, particularly PostgreSQL.
Resourceful, eager to learn, and adaptable.
Detail-oriented, dynamic, and self-driven.
Able to demonstrate architecture skills and an ability to build and simplify.
A GitHub profile or any demonstration of a personal project would be a plus.
You might be looking for:
Being part of an entrepreneurial adventure
Developing your skills with widely-used technologies
Exploring new technologies and master best practices
Contributing to product strategy with a critical mindset
Even if you don’t meet 100% of our criteria, we encourage you to apply. We value unique experiences, a passion for learning and growth, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

What we offer

A paid internship of €1,200-€1,500 per month, for 4 to 6 months.
A fun work atmosphere. No foosball tables, but a pleasant workspace in the heart of Paris (metro Strasbourg-Saint-Denis) and at the center of the French entrepreneurial scene.
True ownership. An internship where you do, learn, and truly contribute to the adventure. You’ll take part in shaping the product roadmap and the technical strategy of Gleef. Your work won’t be limited to fixing bugs or updating the documentation of lazy developers—promise!

Process

1. Fill out the form.
2. We will get back to you for the next steps in the process, which will include an initial interview with one of the co-founders (15 minutes), an online challenge (15 minutes), and a final interview with Antoine (CTO), including a technical test (45 minutes).
At least one interview will take place in person (Paris 10th).
