Role Overview
Bridge design and deployment. Integrate mechanical, electrical, and control systems into operational vehicles; support prototyping, testing, and iterative improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Install, align, and validate subsystems (power electronics, control modules, rail gear).
Read CAD models, drawings, and wiring diagrams; manage configuration control.
Develop integration procedures and checklists for repeatable builds.
Run system-level tests; troubleshoot mechanical/electrical/software interactions.
Partner with fabrication and software/control teams during bring-up.
Document changes, lessons learned, and field fixes for future builds.
Support field upgrades and technical troubleshooting post-deployment.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
BS in Mech/EE/Mechatronics or equivalent experience (3+ years integration).
Mechanical assembly skills (alignment, torqueing) and electrical wiring/harnessing.
Hands-on diagnostics across mechanical/electrical domains; shop safety.
Preferred Qualifications
CAN/PLC/embedded hardware familiarity; heavy-vehicle or rail-gear exposure.
Welding/fab skills; startup or low-volume manufacturing experience.
Work Environment & Travel
Shop/test environments in CA; occasional site support travel.
Benefits
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $85,000 – $105,000 (DOE)
