The numbers behind India’s poor emergency medical services are staggering - 98.5% of our ambulances carry dead bodies, we have upto 20X US mortality rates, and more than half of ALL deaths in India are preventable! We are on a mission to improve medical emergency response for 1B+ Indians. We recently closed our pre-seed round led by Antler.

Job Brief

We are looking for certified and trained paramedics who are willing to work out of a Call Center. He/she will be the primary liaison for our 24X7 emergency medical helpline, and will work closely with doctors. This is a critical role that will require the candidate to be the first line of communication in medical emergencies, and make decisions quickly and effectively. This is a highly meaningful role that will have a direct impact on people’s lives.

Responsibilities

Manage a large amount of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner.
Follow communication “scripts” when handling different topics.
Accurately input and/or confirm info with regard to the customer’s location, type of emergency, etc.
Ability to make decisions quickly and accurately based on set parameters.
Willing to go the extra mile to ensure the highest level of patient safety and experience.

Required Qualifications

Must have completed a paramedic training / diploma course.
Must be able to converse proficiently in English and Hindi.
Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening are required.
Strong customer focus and ability to adapt to different personality types of customers.
Must be willing to learn and be trained.
Must be able to maintain focus during slack periods.
A minimum of a high school degree is required.
Candidates must be honest and punctual.

Desired Qualifications

Ability to converse in a regional language is a plus (Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, Bengali for example).
Previous experience as a paramedic or in a customer support role is preferred but not necessary.
Familiarity with CRM systems and practices is preferred but not necessary.

Other Disclosures

This is a full-time role where candidates will be required to work in shifts of 9 hours each for 6 days a week, with one fixed day off per week.
Candidates may be required to work night shifts.
Candidates may be required to work on religious or national holidays; in this case, candidates will be given the opportunity to take their leave a few days before or after the holiday, after consultation with the manager.
This is an in-office role and candidates must be willing to commute to and work out of Gurgaon.

Compensation & benefits

In-hand salary
Night shifts (8 PM to 8 AM) - Rs. 24,000 per month.
Day-time shifts (8 AM to 8 PM) - Rs. 20,000 per month.
Mixed shifts (willing to cover shifts as necessary) - 23,000 per month.
18 days of annual leave and 10 days of leave for religious and national holidays will be given per year, based on mutual confirmation from both, the manager and the employee.
