Our founding team comprises an Orthopaedic surgeon, IIT & IIM alumni. The numbers behind India’s poor emergency medical services are staggering - 98.5% of our ambulances carry dead bodies, we have up to 20X US mortality rates, and more than half of ALL deaths in India are preventable! We are on a mission to improve medical emergency response for 1B+ Indians. We recently closed our pre-seed round led by Antler.
Job Brief
We are looking for MBBS doctors (BLS certification is preferred) to function as the primary liaison for our 24X7 emergency medical helpline. This is a critical role that will require the candidate to be the first line of communication in medical emergencies, and make clinical decisions quickly and effectively. This is a highly meaningful role that will have a direct impact on people’s lives. All members of our medical team shall be true Guardians!
Responsibilities
Manage inbound medical emergency calls in a timely manner.
Ability to make decisions quickly and accurately based on clinical parameters.
All doctors shall have access to their own personal doctor dashboard that contains a Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) based on the latest BLS & ACLS guidelines to aid in decision making.
Willing to go the extra mile to ensure the highest level of patient safety and experience.
Required Qualifications
MBBS degree from a recognised medical college
BLS and/or ACLS certification is preferred (but not mandatory)
Strong verbal communication skills along with active listening are required.
Other Disclosures
This is a 100% remote (Work from home) role.
Candidates will be required to work in shifts of 4/8/12 hours each day for 6 days a week, with one fixed day off per week.
During each shift, doctors should expect 1-5 medical emergency calls each lasting for around 10-15 minutes.
Candidates may be required to work night shifts.
Candidates may be required to work on religious or national holidays; in this case, candidates will be given the opportunity to take their leave a few days before or after the holiday, after consultation with the manager.
Compensation & benefits
Monthly in-hand salary (for 12 hour shifts) - Rs. 50,000 - 70,000 per month, including incentives.
We will maintain a significant amount of our share capital as part of an ESOPs pool which will be distributed to the right talent per standard vesting schedules and clauses.

18 days of annual leave and 10 days of leave for religious and national holidays will be given per year, based on mutual confirmation from both the doctors and the Guardians management team.
