About the Role

As a Technical Solutions Engineer, you’ll serve as a critical interface between our customers, partners, and product/engineering teams. You’ll design, implement, and support complex payment flows across fiat and stablecoin rails—ensuring our customers can build with confidence on HIFI.

You’ll work with developers and product managers at some of the most ambitious startups and enterprises in the world. Your job is to help them launch quickly, operate reliably, and integrate deeply into HIFI’s platform. This is a highly technical, externally-facing role that blends systems thinking, developer empathy, and operational execution.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end technical relationship with key customers and partners—from kickoff to go-live
  • Design and implement custom payment flows and integrations using HIFI’s API and tools
  • Troubleshoot integration issues, surface platform bugs, and drive resolution with engineering
  • Act as a bridge between Product, Engineering, and external teams—translating complex technical feedback into clear requirements
  • Partner with our infrastructure and compliance teams to ensure uptime, reliability, and regulatory readiness
  • Build internal tools and dashboards to make partner onboarding and monitoring easier over time
  • Stay current on global payments, stablecoins, and developer-first fintech trends

Requirements

  • 3–6 years experience in a technical support, solutions engineering, or backend engineering role
  • Proficient with modern backend technologies (Node.js, REST APIs, Postgres) and system design fundamentals
  • Familiarity with payment systems, bank integrations, or stablecoin infrastructure
  • Able to debug across the stack—requests, webhooks, auth flows, data inconsistencies
  • Excellent communication skills—clear in writing, fast on calls, credible with both engineers and execs
  • Strong project management instincts—can manage timelines, stakeholders, and technical scope without losing momentum

We have no hard roles about in-person work, however most of our company works together in our Flatiron office and recognizes it allows us to move faster.
