If you're eager to expand your technical expertise in recycled textile materials and chemical processes, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Join us at Insutex as a Chemical Engineer Intern and be a key part of our product development team.
As a Chemical Engineer Intern, you will have the chance to work on real-world challenges, expanding and testing your expertise in fire retardancy, moisture resistance, and fungal treatment in textile fibers. You’ll play an integral role in sourcing materials, organizing tests, evaluating results, and communicating with labs to prepare products for certification. This internship offers hands-on experience in the field of sustainable innovation, working in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
The internship is approximately 6 months, ideally full-time at 37 hours per week, or part-time at 20 hours per week, depending on the candidate's availability. The preferred start date is ASAP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, develop, and test chemical solutions for fire retardancy, moisture resistance, and fungal resistance in textile fibers.
- Source materials, organize tests, evaluate the results, and report findings.
- Collaborate with testing labs to prepare products for certification.
- Ensure alignment with industry standards.
- Contribute to product development with a focus on sustainability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or a recent graduate with a strong desire to join a startup environment to gain practical experience and further develop professional skills.
- Independent individual who takes initiative.
- Well-organized and committed to solving daily tasks.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering from DTU, SDU, AAU, or a similar university, or has already completed studies and is looking to join a startup to gain practical experience.
- Skilled user of Microsoft Office.
- Familiar with EN test standards.
- Experience with AI prompting.
- Fluent in English.
- Ideally, the candidate is based in or near Copenhagen, including Malmö, Sweden. While the role offers flexibility, it would be amazing if you could visit our office once or twice during the internship.
