Interhuman AI builds social intelligence infrastructure that makes AI systems capable of understanding human behavior. Our API detects and interprets behavioral signals like hesitation, engagement, confusion, interest across voice, facial expressions, body language, and words. Unlike emotion AI, we focus on observable behaviors and their meaning in context.

We’re always interested in meeting curious, resourceful people who want to help build the social intelligence layer for AI — even if your background does not fit neatly into our other open positions.

This is a catch-all open application for students, interns, early-career candidates, and interdisciplinary profiles who see a way to contribute to Interhuman AI. If you’re excited about our mission and think your skills could be useful, we’d love to hear from you.

What you might work on

Depending on your background, interests, and current company priorities, you could contribute to areas such as:

  • Product and user research: Help us understand developer, customer, and end-user needs; synthesize feedback; and identify opportunities to improve the platform.
  • Developer experience and documentation: Support docs, guides, examples, tutorials, and onboarding material that make it easier for teams to build with Interhuman AI.
  • Community and content: Help create educational content, demos, social posts, case studies, newsletters, or community initiatives around multimodal AI and social intelligence.
  • Operations and go-to-market: Support lightweight research, outreach, partnerships, launch planning, customer success, and internal coordination.
  • Behavioral science and AI support: Contribute to annotation, dataset review, signal taxonomy work, evaluation, or research if your background overlaps with human behavior, communication, or AI.
  • Design, prototyping, or creative work: Help shape product ideas, visuals, user journeys, demos, or experiments that communicate what our technology can do.
  • Who we’re looking for

You might be a great fit if some of the following describe you:

  • Mission-driven and curious: You’re excited by the idea of AI systems that better understand how humans actually communicate and behave.
  • Interdisciplinary mindset: You may come from psychology, behavioral science, cognitive science, HCI, design, communication, business, computer science, data, media, or another relevant field.
  • Self-directed and practical: You’re comfortable taking an ambiguous problem, figuring out the next useful step, and asking for input when needed.
  • Strong communicator: You can explain ideas clearly in writing, conversation, or visuals.
  • Comfortable with AI tools: You enjoy using modern AI tools for research, writing, analysis, prototyping, or productivity.
  • Hands-on attitude: You’re willing to help where needed and care about producing useful work, not just discussing ideas.
  • High standards and good judgment: You care about accuracy, quality, and the ethical implications of building technology that interprets human behavior.
  • You do not need to match every point above. This role is intentionally broad — the most important thing is that you can clearly explain how your background, interests, and energy could help Interhuman AI.

What to include in your application

To help us understand where you might fit, please include:

  • A short note on why Interhuman AI interests you.
  • The type of work you’d be excited to help with.
  • Any relevant experience, projects, writing, research, design work, technical work, or portfolio links.
  • Your availability, including preferred start date, weekly hours, and expected duration.
  • What we offer

We understand how important flexibility is. The exact scope, hours, and duration will depend on the candidate and current team needs, but we’re open to part-time internships, student assistant-style work, and project-based collaboration.

For internship-style roles, we generally expect a minimum of 8 hours per week and a minimum duration of 2 months. Some opportunities may be unpaid, while others may depend on scope, experience, and funding availability.

You’ll get close mentorship, real responsibility, and hands-on experience at the intersection of AI, behavioral science, product, and early-stage startup building. This is ideal for someone who wants to learn quickly, contribute meaningfully, and help shape how AI systems understand human behavior.

    Who we are

At Interhuman AI, we’re building the social intelligence layer for AI. Our mission is to enable machines to understand how humans actually behave – not just what we say. We’re pioneering a new class of multimodal AI that reads facial expressions, voice, and body language to interpret social signals, delivering AI interactions that feel truly adaptive and emotionally aware.

We’re a small but ambitious team, backed by top investors, with a working prototype, early paying customers, and a vision to become essential infrastructure in the future of conversational AI. We value curiosity, high standards, collaboration, and keeping things fun and supportive.
