About Intriq

Intriq is a VC-backed B2B SaaS company building the next generation of financial intelligence tools for the corporate finance industry. We're a fast-moving team that values precision, curiosity, and people who can hit the ground running.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced contractor to support product testing across Intriq's platform, with a specific focus on financial due diligence workflows. You'll be embedded with the product team to validate core FDD functionality, surface edge cases, and ensure our outputs meet the bar that finance professionals expect.

This is a hands-on testing role — you'll need to understand what "correct" looks like from a financial standpoint, not just a functional one.

What You'll Do
  • Execute structured and exploratory testing across FDD-related product workflows
  • Validate proof of cash outputs against source data, flagging discrepancies in reconciliation logic
  • Review and stress-test trial balance analysis features, including rollforward accuracy, mapping, and period-over-period comparisons
  • Log clear, reproducible bug reports with financial context (not just UI issues)
  • Collaborate with engineering and product to triage findings and verify fixes
  • Contribute to test case development and QA documentation for FDD workflows
What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Hands-on experience with financial due diligence, either in-house or at an advisory/accounting firm
  • Ability to independently perform and review proof of cash reconciliations
  • Comfort working with trial balances — identifying anomalies, mapping accounts, reviewing adjustments
  • Prior experience using Cruncify (familiarity with its data model, export formats, and workflow is essential — we won't be training on this)
  • Strong attention to detail; you catch what others miss
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly to a mixed technical and non-technical audience

Nice to Have:

  • Background in M&A, transaction advisory, or PE/VC portfolio work
  • Experience testing SaaS financial tools or working in a startup environment
  • Familiarity with QA processes (test plans, bug trackers like Linear or Jira)
Engagement Details
  • Commitment: Estimated 10–20 hours/week, flexible scheduling
  • Duration: Initial 3-month contract with potential to extend
  • Rate: Competitive, commensurate with experience
To Apply

Send a brief note on your FDD background, your experience with Cruncify, and 1–2 examples of the type of financial testing or analysis work you've done. We're not looking for a polished cover letter — just enough to know you've done this before.
