Katalis AI is an AI solutions company focused on helping businesses maximize the performance of their e-commerce stores. We manage of a portfolio of consumer brands across the regions biggest commerce and performance channels — Shopee, Tokopedia, TikTok Shop, Meta, TikTok, and affiliate/KOL marketing. We don't just run ads and campaigns; we own the growth outcomes for the brands we partner with. We are looking for a self starter Growth Strategist.
Role:
We're hiring a standout strategist to set the growth direction for our client brands. This is a senior, ownership-heavy role: you decide where each brand should play, how it wins, and what the plan is — then you steer a team of affiliate managers, digital marketers, and content specialists who execute it.
You'll build the monthly and long-term plans, sit in the numbers every day/ week, course-correct when something isn't working, and represent Katalis in client calls. You are the person the client trusts to grow their business, and the person your team looks to for direction.
If you think in terms of GMV, ROAS, contribution margin, and market position — not just campaign metrics — and you can turn that thinking into clear plans that other people can execute, this role is for you.
Set the strategy & direction
- Own the end-to-end growth strategy for each brand in your portfolio across marketplaces and paid channels.
- Translate each brand's business goals into a clear channel strategy — positioning, pricing, promo, product mix, and media approach.
- Build the growth roadmap and defend the "why" behind every major decision.
Plan — monthly and long-term
- Create monthly campaign and promo calendars aligned to marketplace mega-campaigns (Payday, 9.9 / 10.10 / 11.11 / 12.12 Harbolnas, TikTok Shop campaigns, Ramadan, etc.).
- Build quarterly and annual growth plans with clear targets and budget allocation across Meta, TikTok, marketplace ads, and affiliate.
- Set budgets and reallocate spend across channels to hit efficiency and growth goals.
Drive performance marketing
- Define and own the KPIs that matter — GMV, ROAS/ACOS, CAC, AOV, conversion rate, contribution margin.
- Direct paid media strategy across Meta and TikTok, plus marketplace ads (Shopee Ads, Tokopedia TopAds, TikTok Shop ads).
- Own the affiliate/KOL strategy — creator tiers, commission structure, seeding, and campaign design — with your affiliate managers executing.
Grow the marketplace presence
- Shape pricing and promotion strategy, listing and content optimization, store health, ratings/reviews, and platform campaign participation.
- Keep each brand competitive on discoverability and conversion within its category.
Review & course-correct
- Sit in the dashboards weekly. Spot what's under- or over-performing, diagnose why, and adjust fast.
- Run a disciplined test-and-learn approach and turn learnings into the next month's plan.
Guide the team
- Direct affiliate managers, digital marketers, and content/creative — write the briefs, review the work, and make sure execution matches the strategy.
- Raise the standard of thinking across the pod without doing the execution yourself.
Lead the client relationship
- Run client calls: present plans, walk through results, manage expectations, and build the kind of trust that grows accounts.
- Be the strategic face of Katalis for your brands.
Who you are:
- 3–5+ years in e-commerce, performance marketing, or digital growth strategy — agency-side or brand-side, ideally in Indonesia or SEA.
- Deep, hands-on understanding of the Shopee, Tokopedia, and TikTok Shop ecosystems — campaigns, ads, seller tools, and how to actually win on them.
- Strong performance marketing chops across Meta and TikTok ads — you understand the funnel, the metrics, and how to scale profitably.
- Real experience with affiliate and KOL/creator marketing.
- Data-driven and commercially sharp — comfortable in dashboards, thinking in ROAS and P&L terms, not just impressions and clicks.
- Track record managing multiple brands or accounts at once and setting direction across them.
- Leadership ability — you've guided or led execution teams and can turn strategy into briefs others can run with.
- Client-facing polish — confident presenting, managing stakeholders, and holding a room.
