About Klimate

Our CO₂ asset management platform allows companies to actively secure high-quality carbon removal solutions, turning a carbon liability into future assets.We strategically finance carbon removal projects based on environmental responsibility as well as social and economic development.

Our core purpose is to scale and accelerate the development of carbon removal methods and technologies needed to reverse climate change.

We are 20+ people with 13 different nationalities who all share a passion for scaling solutions to the climate crisis.

The company was founded in 2020 by Katja, Mads Emil and Simon.

Your mission

As our Data/Analytics Engineer, you will play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making across the company. You will be in charge of extracting, analysing, and visualising data to support strategic initiatives and optimise our operations.

You will be part of the Product team and report directly to Tobias Baunbæk Christensen, our CTO, but also work closely with the CFO.

You are excited by all things data: From extraction to visualisation and helping make strategic, data-driven business decisions. At the same time, you are structured and ready to provide reporting data for our finance and operations.

Requirements and skills

Required skills:

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with collecting, cleaning, and interpreting large data sets.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data visualisation tools like Metabase, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with statistical tools and languages like Python or R.
  • Ability to communicate complex data clearly through dashboards, reports, and presentations.
  • Collaborative mindset and experience working across departments, especially with tech, finance, and impact teams.
  • Structured approach to data management and reporting.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with data warehousing, accounting, supply chain management, or optimising data workflows.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-growing company or startup environment.
  • Interest in, or background with, sustainability or impact investing.
  • Has some knowledge about supply chain or accounting.

The ideal candidate:

  • Has 2-3 years hands-on experience in data analysis, business intelligence.
  • Holds a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Enjoys both the strategic and operational side of data, from supporting high-level decision-making to ensuring accuracy in reporting.
  • Thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is motivated by having a tangible impact.
  • Can work from our Copenhagen office 3-4 days a week—flexibility provided to align with personal needs and responsibilities.

We are interviewing candidates on a rolling basis and aim for the position to start as soon as possible. We will make a hire once we find the right candidate.

The hiring process:

  • We carefully review all applications. If we see a potential match, you will be invited to a 20–30 minute intro. interview.
  • If you are shortlisted, we will ask you to complete a coding exercise. After that, you will be invited to a longer interview to review the exercise + cultural interview with Tobias, our CTO.
