laiout is a fully automated architectural design tool for floor planning - generating custom layouts in seconds instead of weeks, while delivering data on costs, carbon emissions, and efficiency. Clients already generate over 2 million m² of layouts every month, and growth is accelerating.

We’re now looking for a Revit Developer (C# / Autodesk Platform Services) to own and expand our Revit integration pipeline - connecting laiout’s generative layouts with industry-standard BIM tools.

A Bit About Us

We’re a team with diverse backgrounds rethinking how offices are designed. Backed by venture capital investors and global clients, we combine architectural insights with automation.

You’ll work at the intersection of BIM and SaaS, building critical Revit and Autodesk integrations that make our data usable in real-world workflows for global clients.

What You’ll Do

You’ll own and evolve the Revit and Autodesk Platform Services (Forge) integrations that power laiout’s interoperability with the AEC ecosystem.

You will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom Revit add-ins using C# and the Revit .NET API.
  • Extend and optimize our toolchain that converts laiout layouts to Revit (.rvt), AutoCAD (.dwg), and IFC.
  • Work with Autodesk Platform Services (Forge API) to enable cloud-based automation and model processing.
  • Improve and maintain conversion scripts and pipelines for reliability and performance.
  • Debug and optimize Revit workflows for speed, scalability, and robustness.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and developers to align technical solutions with project goals.
  • Document your work clearly and contribute best practices for BIM integration and automation.

Who You Are

You’re a Revit developer who thrives on turning design data into automated workflows. You balance precision with pragmatism and enjoy working across disciplines in a fast-scaling environment.

Requirements:

  • Strong programming skills in C# with solid knowledge of the .NET framework
  • Proven experience developing Revit plugins using the Revit API
  • Hands-on experience with Autodesk Platform Services (Forge API)
  • Familiarity with DWG and IFC formats, and interoperability workflows in AEC software
  • Understanding of BIM processes, Revit data structures, and model management
  • Ability to work independently with clear communication and ownership

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Dynamo, pyRevit, or Revit scripting (Python)
  • Experience with TypeScript
  • Knowledge of CAD/BIM standards and practices
  • Background in architecture, engineering, or construction technology
  • Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines

You’ll Thrive Here If You…

  • Enjoy solving deep technical problems that directly impact real-world design workflows.
  • Want to work in a small team with full ownership over key integrations.
  • Care about the intersection of architecture, data, and automation.
  • Value flexibility, autonomy, and measurable results.

What’s in It for You

  • Fully remote role (±3h CET) with flexible hours.
  • Opportunity to shape critical workflows in a fast-growing company.
  • Exposure to cutting-edge BIM and cloud technologies.
  • Equity in a global SaaS company redefining architectural automation.
  • A collaborative, innovative environment of engineers and designers.
  • Annual European off-sites.

Our Process

We value clarity and speed:

  • Application: Submit your CV and a short note about your Revit and Forge experience.
  • Intro Call (30 min): Meet our CTO to discuss your background and interests.
  • Technical Deep Dive: A practical session exploring your approach to plugin development and integrations.
  • Final Decision: Fast feedback and next steps.
