Marco is a Fintech firm focused on financing underserved SME businesses. Given the profitable financing business model and an underserved market, Marco is scaling rapidly. This role will have high impact potential within the Marco team. We are a fast-paced and client-driven organization with offices located in New York, Miami, and Montevideo. We operate cross-functionally on a variety of levels within the business and our clients.

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting financial data to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather, organize, and analyze data from multiple sources, enabling the company to make informed decisions. Your role will involve utilizing statistical techniques, data visualization tools, and advanced analytics to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and mitigate risks. Additionally, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining data models, dashboards, and reports to facilitate efficient data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of dashboards, stories, and ad-hoc reports that produce business-critical data reliably and efficiently using cloud technologies
  • Collaborate with different teams and stakeholders to enable data-driven decision-making in the company
  • Analyze business indicators for the company, reporting results and trends to management and different areas
  • Optimize current dashboard performance
  • Collect & process data from different sources using SQL, Python & Tableau
  • Implement data validation controls to ensure data accuracy
  • Control and review data integrity alerts. Troubleshoot issues
  • Discover new data sources to improve new and existing data pipelines. Oversee building and maintaining data pipelines and data models
  • Maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes to support data quality and governance


Requirements

  • Fluent English
  • 2 to 5 years of experience working in business intelligence, analytics, data engineering, or a similar role
  • Strong knowledge in Excel, SQL and Tableau
  • Knowledge of Python.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently in several projects and areas

Nice to have

  • Finance / Accounting background
  • Experience with the AWS data ecosystem
