 Who we are

A team from Germany with the vision to make advanced network security accessible for everyone

We are a software company developing a zero-trust network security platform that is both easy to use and affordable for teams of all sizes and budgets. Our mission is grounded in a simple yet powerful belief: secure private networking is a fundamental right of every modern company.
Since our launch on GitHub in 2021, we have gained trust among thousands of companies seeking secure and seamless solutions for connecting remote employees and infrastructure. By replacing traditional centralized VPNs, NetBird has become a trusted choice for modern network security, connecting today hundreds of thousands of users and machines worldwide. Our open-source, community-driven approach has been a key driver of our success. We listen to our users, and their input helps us make network security better for everyone.

What you will do

As a Growth Intern at NetBird, you’ll support our growth efforts through automation, data, and creative problem-solving. You’ll work closely with the team to make our go-to-market approach more scalable and efficient - focusing on smart systems and tools rather than traditional outbound methods.
Specifically, you will:
Assist in designing and setting up automated workflows to make lead generation, qualification, and nurturing more efficient.
Help analyze sales and marketing data to identify trends, evaluate campaign performance, and suggest improvements, including A/B testing.
Collaborate with the Product and Marketing teams to ensure campaigns align with product goals and launches.
Support with keeping our CRM data clean, organized, and up to date to enable smooth communication and follow-ups.
Research market and competitor trends, using tools like SEMrush to find SEO opportunities and help grow our website traffic.
Contribute to event preparation, marketing materials, and team merch when needed.

You’re based in Berlin (or able to relocate) and available to work full-time for at least 4 months.
You have a basic understanding of CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Pipedrive) and are curious to explore automation tools like n8n or Zapier to make processes more efficient.
You’re comfortable working with data, learning from it, and communicating your findings clearly.
You have strong written and verbal English skills and enjoy collaborating with different teams.

Nice-to-Haves

Interest in open-source software and community-driven projects.
Curiosity about cybersecurity and how modern companies protect their infrastructure.
Some experience (or interest in learning) scripting languages like Python to automate small tasks or analyze data.

What's in it for you

We know that happy and supported team members build the best products. That’s why we offer:
Hybrid work setup: Work from our centrally located Berlin office while enjoying some flexibility for remote days.
Collaborative and international team: Join a small, motivated group that values learning, experimentation, and fast execution.
Learning and mentorship: Get hands-on experience in growth, automation, and go-to-market strategies, with direct support from experienced team members.
Real impact: Your ideas matter. You’ll work on projects that directly shape how we grow and reach new users.
Career opportunities: Outstanding interns may have the chance to transition into a permanent role after the internship.
Perks: Enjoy team lunches, events, and access to health and fitness programs (e.g., Wellpass).

The Interview Process

The First Interview is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, determine if what we're offering aligns with what you're looking for, and asses which area of focus matches your goals and interests.
The take-home Case Study is designed to showcase your approach to problem-solving and your ability to build and shape your ideas effectively.
During the Case Study Interview, we will explore your case results, past experiences, and how it has prepared you for the role, your learning journey, your goals, and your overall purpose.
