About OnArrival

OnArrival is building travel infrastructure for fintechs, banks, brands, and digital platforms. We power flights, hotels, rewards, offers, post-booking flows, and partner travel experiences through APIs, SDKs, and customer-facing products.

We are looking for a QA Engineer who can help us ship reliable, high-quality travel products where failures directly impact real users, bookings, payments, refunds, and partner trust.

Role Overview

As a QA Engineer at OnArrival, you will own the quality of our travel platform across flights, hotels, partner integrations, admin dashboards, APIs, and customer-facing journeys.

This is not a “click through test cases” role. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, integration teams, and business teams to understand how travel flows behave in the real world, catch edge cases early, and ensure we launch features with confidence.

Responsibilities
  • Test end-to-end user journeys across flight search, booking, payment, cancellation, rescheduling, refunds, hotels, offers, and partner flows.
  • Create, maintain, and execute test cases for web, mobile web, APIs, and admin dashboards.
  • Perform functional, regression, sanity, smoke, exploratory, and integration testing.
  • Validate supplier integrations, pricing, booking responses, ticketing, cancellation policies, fare rules, and refund flows.
  • Test APIs using tools like Postman, Swagger, cURL, or similar.
  • Work closely with engineers to reproduce bugs, verify fixes, and prevent regressions.
  • Own release readiness checks before production deployments.
  • Validate data consistency across frontend, backend, supplier responses, dashboards, and reports.
  • Document bugs clearly with steps, screenshots, logs, API payloads, expected behavior, and actual behavior.
  • Help improve QA processes, checklists, test coverage, and automation readiness.
  • Participate in product discussions to identify edge cases before development starts.
Required Skills
  • 1 to 4 years of QA experience in web, mobile web, SaaS, fintech, travel, ecommerce, or transactional products.
  • Strong understanding of manual testing fundamentals.
  • Good knowledge of API testing.
  • Ability to write clear test cases and bug reports.
  • Comfortable using tools like Postman, Jira/Linear, GitHub, browser dev tools, and basic SQL or database queries.
  • Good understanding of frontend/backend workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to think through edge cases.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Good communication skills and ownership mindset.
Good to Have
  • Experience in travel, OTA, flights, hotels, payments, fintech, or booking platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of automation tools like Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or Appium.
  • Experience testing APIs, webhooks, partner integrations, and dashboards.
  • Familiarity with logs, monitoring tools, and debugging production issues.
  • Understanding of payment gateways, refunds, reconciliation, and order lifecycle.
  • Experience with SQL, MongoDB, or Elasticsearch queries.
  • Basic scripting knowledge in JavaScript, Python, or Java.
What You’ll Test
  • Flight search and booking flows
  • Hotel search and booking flows
  • Partner SSO and white-label journeys
  • Offers, coupons, wallets, and rewards
  • Payments, refunds, cancellation, and rescheduling
  • Admin dashboards and partner dashboards
  • Supplier integrations and API flows
  • Production bug fixes and release builds
  • Data quality across bookings, reports, and ledgers
Ideal Candidate

You are someone who does not stop at “it works on my system.” You are curious, slightly paranoid about edge cases, and enjoy breaking things before users do.

You understand that in travel, a small bug can mean a failed booking, wrong fare, unhappy customer, or partner escalation. You care about quality, but you also understand speed. You know how to balance both.

Why Join OnArrival
  • Work on real-world travel infrastructure used by fintechs, banks, and consumer platforms.
  • Learn how flights, hotels, payments, refunds, suppliers, and partner integrations work end to end.
  • High ownership, direct impact, and close collaboration with founders and engineering leads.
  • Fast-moving startup environment with deep technical and product exposure.
  • Opportunity to grow into QA automation, product quality ownership, release management, or technical QA leadership.
