We’re searching for an Automation Engineer who can help us realize our customer delivery projects, and be an expert user of our platform.

About the Role:As Automation Engineer at OTee, you’ll play a key role in developing and deploying next-generation control solutions for our customers. Your expertise in designing and optimizing control systems and functions are cruicial.

You will collaborate closely with management, software engineers, product designers, and industrial automation experts to bring innovation to the core of our solutions. If you’re passionate about Industry 4.0 and want to push the boundaries of what’s possible, we want you on our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy industrial control solutions using OTee's IIoT platform

• Implement and configure ethernet-based drivers, such as Ethernet I/P, Profinet and Modbus.

• Configure advanced communication protocols like MQTT, NATS, AMQP, and OPC UA to ensure seamless integration across industrial systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance cybersecurity measures and ensure compliance with industry standards.

• Lead and participate in iterative design processes, ensuring that solutions meet customer needs while aligning with our vision for open-standard control systems.

• Troubleshoot, test, and validate control system deployments, ensuring reliability and performance.

• Support customer onboarding, helping them navigate the transition from traditional control systems to our innovative platform.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in industrial automation and control systems, with a focus on Industry 4.0 technologies.

• Strong knowledge of PLC programming, DCS systems, and SCADA integration.

• Hands-on experience with industrial communication protocols such as MQTT, OPC UA, AMQP, or NATS.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices, software testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to emerging challenges and opportunities in the automation landscape.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a desire to work in an Agile, iterative environment.

• A passion for innovation and a commitment to driving change in industrial automation.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with virtual control systems, cloud-based deployment, and edge computing.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks relevant to industrial control systems (e.g., ISA/IEC 62443).

• Previous experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment with a focus on disruptive technology.
