We digitise the full advisory workflow — from intake and plan design to WTP transition and participant guidance — in one intuitive, AFM-compliant platform. AI plays an increasingly important role: from smart dossier support to personalised participant guidance and automated decision-support.

We’re entering a new growth phase: new clients are onboarding, new modules are being developed, and we’re preparing to scale.

🧩 Your Role

As a Backend Developer (Rust) you will play a key technical role in shaping and scaling our platform across adviser, employer and participant modules.

You work closely with our frontend developer, product owner and founder, and help build secure data flows, smart APIs and reliable backend logic that supports real customers in a regulated domain.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs in Rust
• Work on modular, client-specific configurations (e.g. white-label setups)
• Integrate with third-party services (identity providers, data sources, insurers)
• Co-shape authentication, authorization and permission models
• Contribute to data modelling, architecture and system efficiency
• Help set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment flows
• Participate in code reviews and technical planning
• Think along on how AI can be embedded in the backend to support advisers and participants

You’ll have a high degree of ownership and a direct impact on what gets built.

💡 Who You Are

• 3–5 years of backend experience, ideally with Rust
• Comfortable with Rust crates such as Tokio, Diesel, Reqwest, Cgp, Poem-openapi (or similar)
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL or similar)
• Strong understanding of API design and integration (REST/OpenAPI)
• Familiar with Redis, Docker, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps basics
• Pragmatic, collaborative and able to work independently
• Curious about regulated domains like pensions, insurance or finance
• Bonus: experience with AWS (via Terragrunt/Terraform)
• Bonus: basic frontend experience (TypeScript/React)
