At Prometeo we provide a single API to connect to banks in Latin America. We offer an access point to information and payments in 283 financial institutions and mor than 500 APIs in 10 countries in the region.

Description of the role

As Sales Manager, you will spearhead and orchestrate the payments sales team, driving them towards surpassing predefined sales targets. We seek a dynamic and outcome-driven leader, armed with industry expertise and a track record of adeptly steering teams in high-pressure environments, sealing deals, and fostering robust client relationships across diverse portfolios.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee all sales activities, including prospecting, lead generation, negotiation and closing deals.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to increase sales and maximize revenue, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion in the market.
  • Manage and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed established sales targets by providing training, guidance and ongoing support.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and product teams to ensure alignment of business strategies and delivery of comprehensive solutions to customers.
  • Maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customers, identifying their needs and providing customized solutions that add value to their business.
  • Analyze sales data and metrics to evaluate team performance, identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to optimize results.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences, building and maintaining a network of professional contacts.

Technical requirements

  • Previous experience managing sales teams, with a proven track record of success in achieving sales targets.
  • Experience working in the payments industry, preferably in the fintech industry or related sectors.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build strong business relationships.
  • Results oriented, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of the sales process, from prospecting to closing, as well as best practices in consultative sales.
  • University degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or other related field.
  • Bilingual / advanced English
