At ReSmart, you’re not just a driver—you’re helping households recycle better, keeping waste out of landfill, and making sustainability easy for communities. As a ReSmart driver, you’re not dealing with smelly bins or garbage trucks. You’ll bag and sort tricky-to-recycle items that households and businesses have prepped for you. The best parts of the job:- Your car, your schedule: Pick up shifts that work for you- A team that actually has your back: Our driver community is tight-knit, supportive, and always a message away- Work that matters: Every Pickup diverts waste from landfill How it works:1) Gear up — Grab your equipment and get road-ready.2) Hit your route — Collect tricky recyclables from homes, businesses and councils.3) Sort it — Unload and sort materials at the consolidation point.4) Get paid — Earn while helping communities recycle better. A day in the life: You’ll kick off your shift on the road, gear ready, heading to your first Pickup. At each stop, you’ll collect tricky-to-recycle items left out by customers. Once your route is done, head to the nearest consolidation point to unload and sort materials into clearly labelled areas to be sent to recycling and reuse partners. Your manager and ops team are always available if you need help. Earnings:- Fortnightly earnings- Get paid per block of completed Pickups- Average earnings per hour: $38–45 (depending on locations, efficiency, and vehicle) About you (requirements):- Full working rights in Australia- A full, unrestricted Australian driver’s licence (no international or digital licences)- Own car or van for use- An ABN (or willingness to obtain one)- Personal car insurance including CTP and third-party property damage (TPPD)- Flexible weekdays: choose your days between Monday–Friday, with shifts starting between 8am–10am Note: Please DO NOT APPLY if you are not based in the areas on the “Where we pick up” page and you don’t own a vehicle.
