RespiQ is on a mission to develop an innovative handheld breath analyzer for health monitoring solutions. By decoding the chemical composition of exhaled air, our technology opens up a new frontier in non-invasive diagnostics. Our goal is to make personalized, precision healthcare available at home and in point-of-care settings. We work with partners across the EU on technical and clinical development.
About the internship
We are looking for a curious, hands-on, and scientifically driven R&D Intern to support the next generation of our breath analyzer. You will work alongside physicists, engineers, and materials scientists to develop and test the components (both microscale and macroscale) to contribute to the development of our medical device.
What you will do
- Contribute to R&D projects in breath analysis, gas sensors, and optical spectroscopy.
- Support prototyping and assembly of components.
- Conduct experiments, data collection and basic data analysis.
- Report findings and suggest technical improvements.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team and external partners (both engineering and potential users).
Who you are
- MSc./PhD student in electrical, material science, biomedical engineering or nanotechnology, or a related field.
- Experience or interest in prototyping, plasma physics, spectroscopy, chemical sensors, MEMS, or machine learning is a strong plus.
- Motivated self-starter with strong lab skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and contributing to hands-on, fast-paced work.
- Effective communicator and team player.
