Role Description

The Developer Advocate / Evangelist will focus on expanding adoption and awareness of Simplyblock’s storage software, developing and delivering thought leadership content, and interacting with the developer community via talks, workshops, conferences, trade shows, blog posts, slack channels, subreddits, and other forums. The Developer Advocate / Evangelist will be a key voice of Simplyblock, understanding the needs of the developer community and providing valuable feedback and guidance to the engineering & product team.

What's required?

• Demonstrated experience in developer advocacy, evangelism, or community management, preferably in the storage and/or database market
• Experience in developing and presenting technical content to a developer audience, including workshops, blog posts, videos, and webinars
• Large following in relevant channels (Linkedin, Reddit, etc)
• Strong understanding of storage and/or database technologies and the surrounding ecosystem
• Preferred engineering background (detailed understanding of storage, linux kernel, databases) and ability to write technical content to position simplyblock in the ecosystem of platforms & applications
• Willingness to travel extensively to events & talks (e.g. KubeCon, VMWare Explore, AWS events, SNIA events, CIO forums, Container Days, etc)
• Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role (evangelist, developer advocate, developer relations, community manager, etc)
