simplyblock.io is a next-gen high-performance low-latency storage software for modern databases and IO-intensive stateful workloads in Kubernetes. We help enterprises maximize the efficiency of their data storage operations while reducing cost & complexity.

What are the tasks?

In this role you will build, run and improve simplyblock multi-cluster storage operations on AWS (and other clouds in the future):

• Design and implement an operations model with defined processes for monitoring and health management, event management and incident response
• Drive the improvement of monitoring, backup, cluster deployment and incident response functions and manage their implementation with the development team to continuously improve the availability and decrease manual operations efforts
• SLA management: collect metrics and monitor compliance
• Perform e2e testing for cluster operations functions and manage resolution of issues in close interaction with the development team

What's required?

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a leading IT operations and support role, such as SRE team lead, Head of application operations or Head of infrastructure (either in on premise data centers or on a major cloud provider)
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on admin/ops experience with the Kubernetes platform
• Several years of experience with data storage system implementation / operations (SAN, NAS, etc.)
• Some background in system virtualization, networking and linux
• Preferably: Several years of experience with the administration of cloud-based IaaS such as aws ec2/vpc/eks
