Position: Product Manager, Commercial Card

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (On-site)

Reporting to: CEO

Role Overview

As Product Manager, Commercial Card, you will own the end-to-end strategy, design, and execution of our Commercial Card offering—fully integrated within the FinanBook business finance management suite. You will translate Finan’s AI-driven vision into a scalable, revenue-generating card product tailored for SMEs, enabling them to manage corporate spending and cash flow seamlessly. You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, risk, legal, operations, marketing, and strategic partners (banks, card networks, fintechs) to deliver best-in-class solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze SME cash-management pain points, industry trends, and competitor card offerings in Vietnam and SEA; Build a prioritized roadmap (quarterly and annual) with clear business objectives (e.g., user adoption, transaction volume, revenue targets, NPS).
  • Develop comprehensive business cases (financial projections, unit economics, ROI analyses) for new card features, program expansions, and geographic rollouts; Define and monitor core KPIs (activation rates, spend per card/user, late-payment rates, ARPU) and iterate based on performance.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with Legal teams to design credit/debit card policies, underwriting criteria, KYC/AML processes, and dispute mechanisms; Collaborate with UX/UI designers to craft intuitive, secure digital workflows for card issuance, management, and reconciliation within FinanBook; Work with Marketing to develop go-to-market campaigns, promotional offers, and communications (email, in-app notifications, events).
  • Program Launch & Management: Manage pilot launches (closed beta with select SME segments) and gather feedback to refine product features; Oversee full commercial launch, ensuring seamless onboarding (digital/eKYC), activation, distribution, and channel partner training.
  • Bank & Network Partnerships: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with banks, card networks (e.g., Visa, Mastercard), and processors to secure competitive interchange rates, co-branding opportunities, and joint marketing budgets. Foster strategic alliances with corporate suppliers, payment aggregators, and accounting software vendors to enable seamless integration and value-added services.
  • Internal Collaboration: Maintain close rapport with Finance, Operations, Customer Support, and Data Science teams to ensure operational readiness, fraud monitoring, and data-driven optimization. Present regular updates to the Executive Team on product performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.
  • External Relationships: Cultivate relationships with key SME associations and industry bodies to understand evolving business finance needs and represent Finan at conferences or workshops.
  • Process & Workflow Optimization: Define and refine end-to-end card-issuance workflows (application, credit underwriting, fulfillment, dispute resolution) to maximize operational efficiency and reduce cycle time. Collaborate with Process Management to document and update SOPs, compliance checklists, and risk control frameworks.
  • Issue Resolution & Support: Act as a subject-matter expert for escalations from Customer Support, investigating root causes and driving cross-functional corrective actions. Monitor industry regulations (SBV guidelines, card network mandates) and adapt product features/processes to maintain full compliance.
Background
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5–7+ years of hands-on experience in card product management, preferably having launched or managed commercial (B2B) credit and/or debit card products in a bank, financial institutions, or fintech environment.
  • Strong understanding of SME banking/finance needs, corporate expense workflows, and B2B sales cycles within Southeast Asia.
  • Demonstrated track record of collaborating with technical, legal, and operations teams to bring card products from concept to launch.
  • Experience partnering with banks, card networks, or processors (Visa, Mastercard, JCB) to negotiate commercial agreements, co-branding programs, or rewards schemes.
  • Familiarity with local regulations (SBV, AML/KYC, data privacy) and card-network compliance requirements.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strategic Thinking & Analytical Rigor: Ability to develop data-driven business cases, define KPIs, and assess product ROI.
  • Project & Product Management: Comfortable owning the entire product lifecycle, including scoping, prioritization, sprint planning, and release management.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication: Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills to influence senior leadership and external partners; Strong command of English and Vietnamese (both verbal and written).
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Proven ability to work cross-functionally, build consensus, and drive results through virtual teams; Self-motivated, solution-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
  • Customer Empathy & User-Centric Mindset: Deep understanding of user pain points—especially SME finance and cash-flow challenges—and passion for delivering intuitive, value-added solutions.
What We Offer
  • Compensation: Competitive package based on experience plus employee stock option plan—own a piece of the company you help build.
  • Career Growth & Learning: Opportunity to work alongside fintech veterans and global investors, shaping the future of SME finance in Southeast Asia.
  • Vibrant Culture & Environment: Dynamic, friendly, and mission-driven team culture. Regular team-building events, hackathons, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
