About The Role
As the second hire into Sona's Strategy and Operations function, you'll own and support on key cross-functional initiatives – ranging from Strategic Finance to GTM & RevOps to US expansion to market analyses, with an emphasis on all things top of mind for the CEO, CFO, and the board.
Reporting to Asif Moosani and working closely with our founders and senior leadership, it's an ideal role for someone who wants to work in a fast-paced and impactful environment, seeking deep exposure to the inner workings of a high performing SaaS startup and significant impact on its growth.

Day to day, you will be:

About The Role

Responsibilities
Day to day, you will be:
- Working closely with other Sona teams including Finance, People, Sales, Marketing, and Customer to build cross-functional support and business partnering
- Supporting Sona’s leadership in key strategic decisions such as company goal-setting, board planning, and new market expansion; and supporting with business case development
- Developing and maintaining operating models and financial models across to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning
- Preparing presentations and reports for investors, board members, and other stakeholders
- Strong experience building complex financial and operating models, strategic presentations, and communication skills
- Experience with B2B SaaS startups, including a strong grasp of SaaS business models (unit economics, valuation methodologies). Time spent at a startup and/or in investment banking (Tech/TMT) or venture investing is a plus
- Comfort in data analyses, conducting market research, competitive analyses, market sizing exercises, and data procurement – and turning these into actionable insights
- Based in NYC, or willing to relocate
- Salary: $160-180k total cash (base + bonus split tbc)
