About Sova Health
Sova Health is a leading D2C preventive healthcare company focused on transforming personalized wellness through science, data, and AI. Our mission is to build India’s most trusted precision health platform by delivering tailored health solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
The Role
Diagnostics is Sova’s wedge and our largest line. It is where a customer stops guessing about their health and starts acting on evidence. As Category Manager, you are the general manager of this business. You set the price, decide the assortment, choose the channel a launch opens in, and carry the gross margin. You brief the creative and performance teams rather than report into them, and you write the plan everyone else works to.
What You Will Own
Penetration: Make testing simple, affordable and credible enough to become an ordinary purchase. Define the entry point, the ladder above it, and how quickly curiosity turns into a decision.Market Expansion: Take the category into new tests, markets and channels, including partners and B2B2C routes, on evidence rather than enthusiasm.New Products: Find the need through research, write the brief, and take it through product, medical and operations until a customer can buy it.Efficiency: Improve order-to-cash speed, cost per test and how much of the experience runs without intervention, so margin improves as you scale.Marketing: Own personas, messaging architecture and the competitive read. Build the language the category uses, keep it compliant, and brief the studio and performance team against it.Category P&L and Analytics: Diagnose each month’s movement (volume, price, cost, creative fatigue, channel plateau) and run test-and-learn frameworks.
A Typical Week
Reviewing numbers, working with operations on turnaround, working with medical on what a claim can say, analysing why one hook sold and four did not, doing consumer research, and spending protected time on where this category should be in India in three years.
What We Expect
Category & P&L Management
Skills: go-to-market strategy,performance marketing & retention analytics,portfolio & pricing strategy,category & p&l management,product launch & lifecycle management,cross-functional collaboration,data-driven decision making,regulatory & claims awareness,consumer insights

Reviewing numbers, working with operations on turnaround, working with medical on what a claim can say, analysing why one hook sold and four did not, doing consumer research, and spending protected time on where this category should be in India in three years.
What We Expect
- The category grows faster than the money behind it: more people tested, at better margin, for lower acquisition cost each year.
- Customers who test once come back for a second and third product, so value sits in the relationship rather than the transaction.
- Operating economics improve with scale instead of being traded for volume.
- Reports are clear enough to share with a spouse, a doctor or a group chat.
- A written playbook that can launch the next condition.
- 6-10 years of experience, including at least a couple owning a revenue line, not just a roadmap.
- You have set a price and defended it, and can read a category P&L and tell whether a bad month was volume, price or cost.
- You can work with clinicians on what a claim is allowed to say without being one.
- You write clearly, because much of the job is a one-page argument others act on.
- Background in D2C, healthcare, diagnostics or wellness is a plus. An MBA is useful but not required.

- A go-to-market playbook ready to launch the next condition.
