We’re on the hunt for a brilliant all-rounder who’s either just starting out in their career or is looking to build on their initial experience and take on a new challenge.

🌲 About Spruce

• To hit Net Zero by 2050 we need to replace every gas and oil boiler in the developed world. Far and away the best alternative is a heat pump since they have the almost-magical ability to convert electricity into heat at an efficiency of 300-500% 🤯
• But there’s a problem: the heat pump installation journey is super slow, manual, and inefficient. This is leading to a massive shortage of skilled installers, pushing up prices, and creating long delays for homeowners.
• We're fixing this by building an OS for heat pump installers, helping to speed up their inefficient processes, boosting their profitability, and ultimately attracting new installers to the market.
• We’re currently a team of 4, split between London and Bristol. We like to spend at least 1 day each week working together in-person.

🥖 The Role

You’ll be working closely with our founder Jo (alongside Steph, Nick, and Ilya), getting stuck into pretty much everything that goes on across the business. No two days will be the same, but your work will include:

• Data analysis & reporting – digging into how our customers are using the platform, doing macro/market analysis, helping prepare insights for the team, and working with Jo to present relevant bits to current/future investors.
• Writing content – writing marketing content for our new website (current one definitely in need of an overhaul!), writing onboarding guides for new customers, compiling installer FAQs, and helping with grant applications.
• Customer support – helping out installers when they get stuck or when something isn’t working in the way they’d expect, and building out training videos/tutorials so it’s easier for them to find answers for themselves.

🫵 About You

You’ll have somewhere between 0 and 3 years work experience and you’ll ideally be:

• Relentlessly proactive – you naturally take responsibility for things and are always pushing to make things better
• Analytical — you have a real affinity for numbers, love diving into data, and are comfortable working in Excel
• A clear and concise communicator — you take pride in the quality of your written communication and have a keen eye for detail
• A natural “people person” — you love working with people and find it easy to warm to them
