Job Title: Social Media Marketing Intern

Company Overview:

Surpluss is a global B2B liquidation platform for buying and selling excess inventory, stock lots, near-expiry products, cancelled orders, out-of-demand products and slow-moving stock.

We are a one-stop platform that helps companies effectively liquidate their surplus inventory. Our mission is to assist businesses in overcoming inventory challenges by connecting them with potential buyers and facilitating the sale, assisting companies to recover costs and increase their bottom line.

We are an Antler Backed start-up headquartered in Singapore.

We are expanding our operations in India and are seeking a motivated social media marketing Intern to proactively engage with importers and drive Financial Excellence in the Indian market.

Responsibilities

1. Social Media Management:

- Create and curate engaging content for Surpluss across various social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook).

- Develop and implement a social media content calendar to ensure consistent posting and engagement.

  • Lead Generation through Facebook.

2. Community Engagement:

- Actively participate in relevant online groups, forums, and communities to promote Surpluss.

- Foster relationships with potential buyers and sellers within the B2B liquidation space.

3. Brand Awareness:

- Work on strategies to increase brand visibility and recognition among the target audience.

- Monitor social media channels for industry trends and incorporate them into our social media strategy.

4. Content Creation:

- Assist in creating visually appealing and informative content, including graphics, videos, and blog posts.

- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure content aligns with the overall brand messaging.

5. Collaboration:

- Work closely with the marketing team to align social media efforts with broader marketing strategies.

- Collaborate with other teams, such as sales and customer support, to ensure cohesive messaging.

Qualifications:

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

- Passion for social media and a strong understanding of various platforms.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Creativity and the ability to think outside the box.

- Familiarity with social media analytics tools is a plus.

- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
