Tangled is a software platform that provides a decentralized Git collaboration environment built on the AT Protocol to support code hosting and team workflows. It enables developers and contributors to manage code repositories with tools for version control, pull requests, and issue tracking that integrate social collaboration features across a federated network. The platform uses lightweight servers, called knots, to host repositories that users can self-host or access through broader network views while maintaining ownership of code and associated metadata. Tangled supports seamless submission of contributions, review workflows, and interoperability across repositories without relying on centralized authorities, and it continues to evolve with tooling for continuous integration and community-driven development.
