About Telgea

Telgea makes international mobile connectivity work like a single network. We're the MVNO launched in the most countries world-wide and backed by Telenor, Vodafone/Fastweb, and Swisscom. We give multinational enterprises unified connectivity across multiple countries through one solution. This is enabled by stitching together carriers, regulations, and billing across borders into one coherent product. We're a deep technical team working across multiple countries serving 60+ enterprise customers and growing +20% MoM.

The Role

We're looking for an Infrastructure Engineer: someone who builds and operates the platforms everything else runs on, cares about what happens at 3am when something breaks, and takes ownership of reliability, performance, and cost. You'll work across our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, databases, and networking, and you'll be one of the people shaping how we run, not just what we run.

AI is a first-class part of how we work. That includes agentic coding workflows: using AI to write infrastructure-as-code, build runbooks, debug incidents, and iterate on tooling end-to-end. We expect you to use these tools aggressively, critically, and to know when to take back the wheel. If you treat AI tools as a crutch rather than a force multiplier, this won't be the right fit.

What you'll do

  • Design, build, and own infrastructure across our cloud environment, from provisioning to production
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that let engineers ship safely and fast
  • Own observability: metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting that make production diagnosable before customers notice
  • Lead incident response and drive the postmortems that stop the same thing happening twice
  • Manage databases, networking, and security as code others can understand, extend, and trust
  • Review your teammates' work and expect the same in return
  • Contribute to architecture decisions, not just implementation
  • Keep an eye on cost and performance, and do something when either drifts

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years operating production services on cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
  • Strong with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or similar) and treating infra as a software discipline
  • Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes in production, not just demos
  • Comfortable in Node.js and TypeScript, enough to build internal tooling and read the apps you support
  • Solid grasp of observability, networking, and database operations
  • Hands-on experience with agentic coding tools (Claude Code) used to ship real work
  • Strong reliability instinct; you notice when something feels fragile and fix it before it bites
  • Located in Barcelona

Nice to have

  • Experience in telecoms
  • Familiarity with event-driven architecture, trunk-based development
  • Experience with edge networking, SSO, or zero-trust access patterns

What we offer

  • Direct impact: the platforms you build carry real customer traffic
  • Office at the waterfront of Barcelona
  • Hybrid setup 3-days in office/2 days home
  • Competitive salary
