Job Profile: Senior Test Engineer

Trabotyx is seeking an experienced Test engineer who will be responsible for designing, developing, executing and streamlining testing strategies to ensure the quality and performance of our products. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including design, development, and production, to identify and resolve issues throughout the product life-cycle.

Trabotyx automates manual weeding for organic farmers. Allowing them to reduce cost, get cleaner fields and peace of mind. Ultimately we want to be competitive with herbicide spraying to make sure that everyone can eat healthy vegetables at a decent price. Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and analyze product requirements and specifications to develop comprehensive and extensive testing techniques and strategies.
  • Create detailed and agile test plans, including scope, objectives, resources, schedule, and deliverables.
  • Design and Develop test cases and test scripts based on product requirements and specifications.
  • Continuously Perform functional, performance, reliability and usability tests according to test plans and test cases.
  • Identify, document, report and track defects or issues found during testing using appropriate tools
  • Conduct regular regression tests to ensure new software changes do not adversely affect existing functionalities.
  • Design, Develop and execute automated test scripts to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Evaluate the performance, scalability, and reliability of the product under various conditions.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, test results, and defect reports.
  • Work closely with software/hardware engineers, contractors, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure a common understanding of the product and to resolve issues promptly.
  • Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and assist with Factory and Field acceptance testing to ensure the product meets the needs and expectations of end-users.
  • Compliance Testing: Ensure the product complies with industry standards, regulations, and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in test engineering or a related role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in test automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, LUA, etc), knowledge of hardware and software testing, familiarity with SNAG/Defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, attention to detail, leadership capacity

Package:

  • Compensation: Market-rate from a funded start-up perspective, plus additional ESOP based on success and performance
  • Commitment: Full-time
  • Overtime: Time for time or overtime paid
  • Vacation: 25 days + official holidays
  • Location: Den Bosch, work from home is possible, but 75%+ should be in the office
