About Valley
Valley is an AI-powered outbound platform built around LinkedIn-first prospecting. We help teams find, research, and reach the right buyers, combining ICP targeting, intent signals like profile views and post engagement, and deep prospect research (recent posts, company news, funding, job changes) to generate personalised outreach that turns cold audiences into qualified conversations. Our customers range from self-serve operators running their own campaigns to managed-service clients who hand the entire motion to us.
We move fast, we're data-grounded, and we care about outcomes over activity. The people who thrive here are operators. They diagnose before they execute, they own their numbers, and they'd rather fix the thing blocking results than talk around it.
About Valley Done-For-You (Studios)
Valley DFY, publicly Valley Studios, is our managed, done-for-you outbound service, the tier that sits above everything else. Instead of clients running outreach themselves, our team operates the whole engine on their behalf: targeting, list building, campaign creation, messaging, A/B testing, AI training, audience replenishment, reply management, and reporting.
We automate everything up to the reply and draft responses for one-click approval, but we do not auto-book meetings. The client handles positive replies and takes the meetings. DFY is explicitly a shared-outcome model: Valley operates the system, and the client supplies account access, commercial clarity, and the responsiveness that converts interest into meetings.
The Role
The DFY Manager owns a portfolio of client workspaces and is accountable for the outcomes across all of them. This is an operations-first role: success is about keeping the outbound machine sending, unblocked, and improving, then optimising copy and targeting on top of a system that actually runs. But most of all, it's about being able to understand the client and translate what they're looking for into a repeatable system within Valley.
You'll onboard new clients, translate their goals into live campaigns, build and replenish quality lead lists, craft client-specific writing styles, compile weekly performance reporting, lead the DFY account management team, and balance execution across every account so no client is neglected and every client hits their target outreach volume. You are the person who can explain why a client is performing the way they are, and what happens next.
Key Responsibilities
Client onboarding & discovery
- Own onboarding end to end. Extract ICP, personas, titles, geography, positioning, proof points, exclusions, and offer details from each new client.
- Set up the client's workspace, dedicated Slack group, and account structure.
- Set expectations clearly from day one.
Lead list generation & supply
- Build high-quality, ICP-fit prospect lists via Sales Navigator, Valley's list building systems and warm-list audiences.
- Keep supply ahead of demand. Replenish lists before a workspace runs dry so no account ever stalls for lack of prospects.
Writing styles & messaging
- Create high-quality, client-specific writing styles and outreach copy across Connection and InMail campaigns, in line with each client's voice and demands.
- Iterate messaging based on reply sentiment and client feedback, and retrain Valley's AI to reflect what's converting.
Campaign creation & management
- Own the full campaign inventory per workspace: build campaigns, set daily pacing, configure follow-up and re-engagement timing, and run A/B tests.
- Verify every campaign can actually send; keep schedules covering the next business day with no zero-touch accounts.
Reply quality & conversion
- Track and QC reply classifications (Interested / Maybe / Not Interested); catch auto-replies and false positives before they distort reporting.
- Flag priority follow-ups and get interested prospects to the client fast enough to convert into meetings.
Weekly performance reporting
- Compile weekly and month-to-date reports per client and across the portfolio: volume, reply rate, sentiment outcomes, accepted connections, meetings scheduled, approval backlogs, and list supply.
- Explain the story behind the numbers: why an account is over- or under-performing and what the plan is, not just the metrics.
Client communication
- Own the client relationship and proactively surface performance, blockers, and recommendations. Don't wait to be asked.
- Keep information flowing both ways: pull ICP, offer, and lead-quality feedback from the client, and push clear results and next steps back efficiently.
- Manage expectations around the guarantee structure and the collaborative, shared-outcome model.
Team leadership & portfolio balancing
- Manage and train the DFY account management team on relationship management, launching and replenishing campaigns across seats, running tests, and communicating results.
- Balance workload across the team and across clients so every workspace gets the attention it needs.
- Ensure every client reaches their target outreach volume, and intervene wherever throughput is at risk.
What Makes Someone Successful Here
You think like an operator before a marketer. You're organised enough to run a multi-client portfolio without dropping accounts, direct enough to hold clients accountable, and data-grounded enough to diagnose underperformance rather than guess at it.
- Fluency in LinkedIn outbound: Connection campaigns, InMail, Sales Navigator, and personalized messaging at scale.
- Deep knowledge in outbound and B2B sales for different ICPs and audiences
- Comfort in a tool stack spanning campaign management, CRM, and reporting dashboards.
- Strong writing and editing judgment, able to match a client's voice and produce copy that converts.
- Genuine ownership of a portfolio's numbers, with the discipline to work blockers before optimisation.
- Clear, proactive communication, with clients and with the team you lead.
- Early churn-radar: you spot at-risk accounts before they become cancellations
Nice to Have
- Prior experience running or managing a done-for-you / managed outbound or agency service.
- Team leadership or account-management experience across a book of clients.
- Hands-on background with Sales Navigator, LinkedIn outreach tooling, and CRM/reporting systems.
