We are looking for our second Technical hire, reporting to our Director. You will help design, develop, implement and support the products and features at Vero, working with business partners across the organization to deliver inventory financing solutions, and a high-touch borrowers' experience to SMBs.

Vero is in the process of closing a Seed A round and is a team of 18 with backgrounds in finance, mobility, banking software and automotive.

We are looking for applicants who love mentoring engineers, collaborating with product managers, and driving product support function.

As Lead Software Engineer at Vero, you will help driving the development and support of a existing and new product solutions. We are focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience - and consistently take feedback from our users to inform how we can transform the way commercial lending products are delivered.

To be successful as a Lead Software Engineer, you should have prior organizational software development experience as a full stack engineer, be able to collaborate with team members, and be a strategic problem-solver. Ultimately, a top-notch Lead should demonstrate excellent communication skills, an ability to connect with other engineers and developers and have a solid foundation in software design and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of our platform, ensuring the technical execution, quality, and reliability of our products
• Collaborate with the VP/Director of Engineering and Product Managers to define and prioritize product features and enhancements
• Develop and maintain high-quality software products, ensuring our codebase is scalable and maintainable
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, constantly seeking out ways to improve our development processes and codebase
• Identify and address technical debt, bugs, and other issues to ensure the stability and scalability of our platform

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in full-stack software development
• Proven leadership and organizational skills, with experience leading a team of engineers
• Strong knowledge of modern web development frameworks and technologies such as React, Angular, Redux, Node.js, MongoDB, MySQL, Redis and Python
• Strong understanding of database design and development, and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to mentor and lead a team of developers in a fast-paced, agile environmen
