Visito is the conversational AI platform for hospitality. Our mission is to enable every hospitality business in the world to access autonomous AI agents and empower human staff. We’re a team of experienced founders from Uber, Lyft, Amex, Linio, and Cornell, backed by top investors.

We started Visito to solve our own frustrations as travelers: no easy way to communicate directly with properties, book on favorite messaging channels, and stay connected.

We’re now ready for the next phase of growth and looking to partner with you as our first AI Engineer on the Engineering team. You’ll have a ground-floor opportunity to work closely with our Co-founder and CTO to advance our AI capabilities and shape the future of our platform as our first AI Engineer on the team.

Your impact and growth 📈

As our Founding Team member on the Engineering team focused on AI, your role is pivotal in driving our growth:

• Integrate traditional systems with AI Applications: develop end-to-end features touching all parts of the stack to enable AI workflow and tasks.
• Develop new AI native workflows: implement streaming, long-running AI tasks, finding the balance between state-of-the-art and pragmatism.
• Prompt Engineering: Own our existing LLM & prompts. Measure and continuously improve quality while constantly evaluating new frontier models and methods.
• Zero-to-one product development: rapidly prototype, evaluate, and integrate new product features and custom projects for our customers.
• Growth and delivering customer value: Demonstrate an understanding of user behavior, funnels, marketing channels, and mobile to fuel creative design.

About you

You’re an entrepreneurial, curios, and A-player engineer who loves solving problems and crafting new solutions. You thrive in highly ambiguous environments where there are not always clear answers or solutions.

• 4+ years of experience in a product focussed full-stack software engineering role (required)
• Experience working at an early-stage or growth-stage technology company (required)
• Fluency in both English and Spanish (required)
• Experience building backend platforms that can support multiple focus areas
• Strong programming skills and general Computer Science knowledge
• Track record of building fast-growing SaaS or consumer products

• Frontend: ReactJS, NextJS and Ionic for mobile devices.
• Backend: Node with Express, Python, MongoDB, Redis, Docker and Azure.

Hybrid work at Visito

You will spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in our office in Mexico City (Condesa). This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.
