Namma Yatri is a Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) platform built to empower drivers and provide seamless, frictionless ride experiences for users. We’re not just another ride-hailing app — we’re reimagining urban mobility from the ground up, with drivers at the center and intuitive designas our backbone.

We’re crafting thoughtful, scalable, and elegant design solutions that drive real-world impact in ride-hailing, multimodal transportation and public utilities. We are currently seeking a Product Designer with 2-4 years of product design experience to join our team. You will work closely with other designers, developers, business leads, city operations managers and product managers to build great interfaces. We embrace big-picture thinkers who also enjoy the finer details of day-to-day activities.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

● Understanding the product requirements clearly and creating relevant information architecture and user flows.

● Crafting intuitive, user-centered designs that deliver delightful experiences, while continuously refining them based on user insights and feedback.

● Collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, and data science to craft experiences that deliver real value to users.

● Creating supporting artifacts to articulate your ideas, including presentations, UI kits, style guides, and supporting graphic assets for developers.

● Designing for both consumer-facing experiences that prioritize seamless usability and business-facing SaaS tools that optimize workflows and data visualization.

● Collaborating with the research team to translate user insights into actionable design improvements.

YOUR EXPERIENCE SHOULD SHOWCASE

● 2-4 years of full-time, hands-on experience in product design in-house at a digital product company or an agency.

● Experience in building design systems or a deep understanding of the same, with a fair spread of knowledge on popular design systems.

● Examples that show your ability to solve complex problems and visually communicate your solutions through information architecture, user flows, and prototypes.

● Ability to document the processes, communicate clearly with project members, and persuade stakeholders.

● Experience designing for both B2C Mobile Apps (iOS and Android) aligning with the respective platform guidelines as well as B2B dashboards, demonstrating an understanding of how to approach user needs in both domains.

● A user-first mindset with a strong understanding of usability principles, contrast and accessibility guidelines.

● Empathy and strong collaboration skills—you’re open to feedback and also a constructive critic.

TOOLS EXPERTISE

● Proficiency in Figma.

● Familiarity with prototyping tools (ProtoPie or equivalent) for creating interactions.

● Experience in implementing design tokens or collaborating with engineering teams to build & scale design systems.

BONUS POINTS IF:

● You’ve addressed audiences on design-related topics or shared your insights through articles or talks.

● You can bring your ideas to life using HTML, CSS, and JS or jam with tools like V0, Cursor, Windsurf or any vibecoding platform(s) to create near-real experiences and speak the language of frontend to collaborate seamlessly with developers.

● You have a Graphic Designer, Illustrator, or Animator side as well to your designer persona.

● Experience working on data-rich interfaces or dashboards for non tech-savvy users.
